The Russian air defense forces successfully repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the city of Berdiansk in the southern Zaporizhia region. This marks the second attack by the Ukrainian forces on the city within 24 hours. The interception of a Ukrainian missile on its approach to Berdiansk was carried out by the air defense forces overnight on November 22.
Vladimir Rogov, the head of the regional public movement “We are Together with Russia,” confirmed the incident and stated that there were no casualties or damages reported.
On the previous day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian military forces had dealt a blow to three Ukrainian brigades in the areas of Rabotino and Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhia region. The enemy forces suffered significant losses, including 75 servicemen, two armored vehicles, and a D-20 howitzer.
Following referendums held in September 2022, Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, have become part of the Russian Federation. Since October 20, a state of martial law has been imposed in these regions.
Earlier, Ukraine had outlined the conditions for conducting negotiations with Russia.
