Armed Suspect Linked to Terrorist Group Killed in Ingushetia

In a recent operation in Sunzha, Ingushetia, law enforcement agencies successfully neutralized an armed suspect believed to be associated with a notorious terrorist group. The Federal Security Service (FSB) reported the incident, according to TASS.

During the counter-terrorism operation (CTO), security forces identified the suspect who was wanted for his involvement with the criminal gang. However, when the law enforcement officers approached him, the suspect opened fire. In response, the officers fired back and eliminated the threat. The identity of the man, as well as his affiliation with the terrorist group, is currently under investigation.

In a separate case, the Second Western Military Court in Moscow sentenced Merob Khaitov to 12 years of imprisonment. Khaitov was a defendant in a criminal case involving six ISIS terrorists (an organization banned in Russia) who had planned to attack the Federal Security Service (FSB) building on Lubyanka Square in 2022, targeting both its visitors and passersby.

Earlier reports also revealed that a Russian woman had attempted to hire a hitman for her son and daughter for a sum of 160,000 rubles.
