Ukrainian Pilots Begin Training on F-16 Fighter Jets in Denmark

Ukrainian Air Force Speaker Yuri Ignat has announced that training for Ukrainian pilots to operate F-16 fighter jets has commenced in Denmark. According to the Ukrainian publication “Strana.ua,” the pilots initially underwent training on NATO-style light aircraft and have now transitioned to flying F-16s with instructors.

Ignat explained that this training will include combat operations, allowing the pilots to learn how to engage in warfare using these aircraft.

The preparation of Ukrainian forces for the use of F-16s is not limited to Denmark. Other specialists, ground personnel, combat control officers, and engineering and aviation service officers are undergoing training in the United Kingdom.

Previously, doubts were raised in Congress about the ability of the United States to timely deliver F-16s to Taiwan. Bloomberg reported on a letter from Republican lawmakers expressing their concerns.

A total of 20 members of the Republican Party signed the letter. The military support program for Taiwan includes the delivery of 66 new F-16 fighter jets and the modernization of the country’s existing fleet of 141 combat aircraft.

Earlier, NATO outlined a condition for transferring F-16s to Ukraine.
