Russia Increases Delivery of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to its Military

The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported a significant increase in the delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to its armed forces, with a sixteen-fold increase compared to the beginning of 2022. This announcement was made by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a military department meeting, as reported by TASS.

According to Shoigu, deliveries of missile and artillery weapons to the military have increased by 4.9 times, while armored vehicles have seen an increase of over three times.

Furthermore, the delivery of precision strike capabilities has increased twelve-fold compared to the previous year, including a five-fold increase in long-range precision missiles.

It was recently reported that in early November, a test unit of the “Lancet” strike UAVs, produced by the Kalashnikov Concern, was deployed to the area of a special operation. The Russian military successfully utilized these UAVs in combat.

Prior to this, it was revealed that Russia has equipped UAVs with a neural network to detect Ukrainian Armed Forces’ equipment.

Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
