The Russian Pacific Fleet (TOF) and the Indian Navy have commenced joint naval exercises in the Bay of Bengal, according to a report from TASS, citing the Russian fleet’s information department.
The statement mentioned that the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs and the medium-sized sea tanker Pechenga from the Russian Pacific Fleet are conducting joint exercises with the Indian Navy in the Bay of Bengal.
It was also noted that the squadron of TOF ships had recently entered the port of Visakhapatnam in India.
Prior to this, there were reports of NATO’s Freezing Winds exercises in the Baltic Sea, which were led by the Finnish Navy for the first time. The training involved the participation of the United States, Estonia, France, the United Kingdom, and Sweden, which is currently not a member of the Alliance. One of the objectives of the exercises was cited as the development of tactical capabilities for the Finnish forces.
In Japan, large-scale military exercises with the United Kingdom have also begun.
