Moscow, November 21 – Units of the Russian “Vostok” group have successfully repelled a Ukrainian counterattack in the vicinity of Priyutne in the South Donetsk region, announced Oleg Chekhov, the head of the group’s press center. “On the South Donetsk front, with the support of artillery, the troops of the ‘Vostok’ group thwarted the enemy’s attempt to launch a counterattack northwest of Priyutne. The Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry was destroyed,” said the officer. Furthermore, according to him, the rotation of Ukrainian units in the Urozhayne area was halted, enemy vehicles and personnel were eliminated, and during the counter-battery combat, the Ukrainian military lost two mortar crews. As reported by the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered the loss of up to 70 servicemen, an infantry fighting vehicle, and two vehicles on the South Donetsk front in a single day.
