Russian Forces Repel Attack by Azov Battalion in Eastern Ukraine

In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine, Russian forces, specifically the “Center” group, successfully repelled an attack by the Azov Battalion, an organization banned in Russia, south of Kuzmin in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry’s Telegram channel, the attack by the Azov Battalion’s assault groups, in coordination with the army’s aviation and artillery, was effectively countered by the skilled actions of the Center group. The Russian air force also targeted soldiers and equipment belonging to the 117th Territorial Defense Brigade, the 67th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and the 31st Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine north of Yampolovka and Grigorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The Ministry of Defense reports that Ukrainian soldiers suffered losses of up to 30 individuals. Additionally, the AFU lost one armored vehicle and two cars.

It is worth noting that this incident follows previous reports of the Russian army’s use of cluster munitions against Ukrainian military targets.

Earlier, the Russian Armed Forces had targeted up to 30 artillery units, some of which were under the command of the Azov Battalion.
