Israeli Defense Forces Intercept Suspicious Air Target from Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced that they successfully intercepted a “suspicious air target” coming from Lebanon. The IDF shared this information on their official Telegram channel.

According to the statement, after reports of sirens sounding in the northern part of Israel, the suspicious air target, originating from Lebanon, was successfully intercepted by the IDF’s air defense systems.

Additionally, it is mentioned that the Israeli Defense Forces are engaging in retaliatory fire towards the Lebanese territory.

Earlier, it was reported that during a joint overnight operation between the Israeli army and the ISA (Israel Security Agency), the IDF aircraft struck a hideout used by terrorists. Among the eliminated terrorists was Muhammad Zahid, who had been involved in clashes in the Nablus area and was planning further terrorist activities.

The situation in the Middle East has escalated following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7th, when Hamas announced the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flooding” operation. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war.

Earlier in Israel, the possible involvement of Hezbollah in the war was referred to as a “fatal mistake.”
