Russian Navy Fleet Visits Indian Port to Strengthen International Relations

A squadron of warships from the Pacific Fleet has arrived in the Indian port of Visakhapatnam on a business visit. This was reported by the Pacific Fleet’s information support department, according to RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the squadron, consisting of the large anti-submarine ship “Admiral Tributs” and the medium sea tanker “Pechenga,” arrived in the Indian port as part of a long-range naval campaign in the region.

A ceremony of solemn meeting of the Russian ships took place at the main base of the Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy, where sailors are planned to participate in protocol, cultural, and sports events.

The Russian ships will stay in Visakhapatnam until November 20.

The purpose of this campaign is to demonstrate and promote the Russian Navy in the region, as well as strengthen relations with foreign states.

On November 12, a squadron of Russian ships entered Chittagong, the main port of Bangladesh, for the first time in half a century.

Earlier, the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, referred to the Russian Pacific Fleet as a guarantee of security in Asia and the world.
