Israeli Army Strikes Terrorist Hideout, Prevents Attacks on Civilians

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on their Telegram channel the destruction of a terrorist hideout in a refugee camp. The IDF, along with the Israeli Space Agency (ISA), eliminated several terrorists in the Balata camp in the city of Nablus and thwarted attacks against Israeli civilians.

During a joint night operation, the IDF and ISA conducted an airstrike on a hideout used by the terrorists. Among the terrorists eliminated was Muhammad Zahid, who had been involved in clashes in the Nablus area and was planning further terrorist activities.

On November 17, the IDF stated that they had struck “terrorists” in Lebanon who were planning to launch anti-tank rockets into Israeli territory.

Previously, it was reported that IDF fighters had struck individuals attempting to launch anti-tank rockets into Israel from Lebanese territory.

The situation in the Middle East has escalated following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7, when Hamas announced the beginning of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a state of war.

The goal of Israel’s retaliatory operation, “Iron Swords,” was to repel the attack, free over 200 hostages, including foreigners, and destroy Hamas. As part of achieving this goal, Israel carried out massive rocket bombardments on the Gaza Strip from the first day of the operation. The Israeli National Security Council decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the sector. Humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza only resumed after October 20 through the Rafah crossing, but their volume is considered insufficient.

On October 27, Israel announced the “expansion” of the ground operation in Gaza. The exact start date of this operation is unknown, but hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had already evacuated their homes and moved to shelters and the southern part of the enclave in anticipation. As of November 5, fighting still continues in the center of Gaza.

Earlier in Israel, the possible involvement of Hezbollah in the war was deemed a “fatal mistake.”
