Decrease in Foreign Mercenaries in Ukrainian Armed Forces, Georgian Sniper Claims

Georgian sniper Georgiy Chubetidze has announced a decrease in the flow of mercenaries into the “Second Foreign Legion” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). He made this statement in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, Chubetidze was recently captured with his fellow soldier, who is also of Georgian nationality. They were heading to take up positions for shooting but mistakenly entered the positions of the Russian military group “Brave” in the forest near the city of Kremennoye in the Luhansk People’s Republic.

“I don’t know why, but there is a fact – there are fewer of them (mercenaries) now. In the past year, in March, in April, there were people. And then they stopped,” Chubetidze said.

He pointed out that the replenishment of the UAF with mercenaries is infrequent.

According to this captive, he served in the third platoon of the first company with the rank of junior sergeant in the “Second International Defense Legion of Ukraine.”

Prior to this, the deputy commander of the Special Purpose Company with the call sign “Skala” stated that there are African Americans among the mercenaries in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to him, there are many Poles and African Americans encountered on different fronts.

Earlier, Putin stated that foreign mercenaries in the UAF are suffering losses “due to their own foolishness.”
