Ukraine Extends No-Fly Zone as Russian Attacks on Infrastructure Continue

The no-fly zone in Ukraine has now been extended to the Kiev region, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation. This comes after earlier warnings of airborne threats in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Poltava regions. The no-fly zone has also been declared in areas of Zaporizhia, Kherson, and Donetsk, which are under Kiev’s control.

Russian armed forces have been carrying out attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure since October 10th, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which Russian authorities claim was orchestrated by Ukrainian intelligence agencies. These attacks have targeted energy facilities, defense industries, military command, and communication centers across the country. As a result, the no-fly zone has been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even covering the entire territory.

On November 16th, explosions were reported in the city of Staryi Konstantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region, which is located east of a military airfield.

Earlier, President Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the military operations onto Russian territory.
