The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed their readiness to operate throughout the Gaza Strip, rather than just in the northern region. This announcement came from IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagar, as reported by TASS.
“We are determined to continue moving forward. And this also applies to the southern part of the Gaza Strip,” stated the IDF spokesperson.
Hagar did not provide specific details or timelines for the expansion of the operation in the Palestinian enclave, but emphasized that it would happen under conditions most favorable to the IDF.
According to Hagar, the Israeli military is acting in this conflict with clear and specific objectives, targeting radicals from the Palestinian movement Hamas.
“This includes ground operations, air operations, and naval operations,” explained Hagar.
Yesterday, the IDF destroyed a major weapons assembly point belonging to the Islamic Jihad (an organization banned in Russia) in the Gaza Strip.
Previously, the World Health Organization (WHO) declined to participate in a plan to establish a “safe zone” in the southern part of Gaza.
