Russian Electronic Warfare Suppresses Missile Attacks in Ukraine’s Kherson Region

Governor Vladimir Saldo of the Kherson region reported in a Telegram channel that Russian electronic warfare systems successfully thwarted two Storm Shadow missiles launched towards the Chaplinsky district.

According to Saldo’s statement, the missiles deviated from their course, with one projectile falling in an open area and the other crashing into an unoccupied building. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Prior to this incident, Governor Saldo had denounced the Russian Armed Forces for unleashing a “firestorm” on Ukrainian troops in Krinkah, a settlement on the left bank of the Dnieper River, which has been a constant target for attempted Ukrainian landings.

On November 8, Saldo also revealed that three Ukrainian missiles had been intercepted by air defense systems over the Genichesk district in the Kherson region.

On the following day, the governor announced that Ukrainian soldiers had launched a missile strike on the city of Skadovsk, resulting in 11 injuries. As a result, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case.

Additionally, on November 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a Ukrainian missile over the Black Sea near the coast of Crimea.

Previously, President Zelensky had explained the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the conflict onto Russian territory.
