Russian Military Strikes Nationalist Formations in Ukraine

The Russian military has launched a series of targeted strikes on the temporary bases of nationalist formations, specifically the “Azov” (an organization banned in Russia) and the “Right Sector” (also banned in Russia). This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the statement, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conducted 24 group strikes using high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Earlier, nationalist Ukrainian units were identified in the Krasnolimansk direction. A military analyst explained that these units are part of the Ukrainian brigades. According to the expert’s information, the presence of the “Volunteer Ukrainian Corps Right Sector” (an organization banned in Russia), as well as battalions “Aidar,” “Azov” (also banned in Russia), “Donbass,” and “Wolves of Vinci,” were recorded in the region.

Marochko noted that these nationalist formations have a significantly higher level of equipment and gear compared to other units.

In mid-August, it was announced that released nationalists had returned to the front lines. The “Azov” fighters, who were in Turkey according to an international agreement, returned to Ukraine on July 8, alongside President Volodymyr Zelensky. On the same day, they pledged to “prove themselves in battle.”

Previously, a survey revealed the number of Ukrainians who consider themselves nationalists.
