Ukraine’s Military Assistance at Risk as Western Countries Shift Focus

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has acknowledged that if Western countries were to cease their support to Kiev, Ukrainian forces would be forced to retreat. This revelation comes amidst a slowdown in the delivery of ammunition and other aid to the Ukrainian military due to the West’s attention being diverted to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as reported by Bloomberg.

Zelensky highlighted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have been receiving fewer 155-millimeter projectiles as a result. However, he assured that steps are being taken to address this issue.

Prior to this, Zelensky had a meeting with the US Special Representative for Economic Recovery of Ukraine, Penny Pritzker. Media reports suggest that the discussions focused on American assistance to Kiev.

According to sources, during the dialogue, Pritzker hinted to Zelensky about the potential risk of Washington withdrawing its support at a certain point in time. The sources further claim that the US Special Representative emphasized the need for measures to maintain Ukraine’s economic stability under such circumstances.

Earlier, a decline in support for Ukraine was observed within the United States.
