Russian Frigate Admiral Grigorovich Returns to Mediterranean Sea Operations

The Russian frigate “Admiral Grigorovich” has resumed its duties in the Mediterranean Sea after undergoing planned repairs in the Baltic Sea, according to a source cited by TASS.

The frigate has transitioned from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and joined the Russian Navy’s Mediterranean Squadron to carry out its designated tasks, as stated in the report.

This information has not been officially confirmed.

The “Admiral Grigorovich” is the first frigate of the 11356 project built by the Yantar Shipyard in the Baltic region for the Black Sea Fleet.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense announced exercises involving the frigate with hypersonic missiles in the Atlantic.

The department revealed that the frigate set off for the exercises accompanied by the medium-sized supply tanker “Vyazma,” which carries fuel, water, and provisions.

The ship began its duty in the Mediterranean Sea on January 4, 2023, and upon crossing the Atlantic Ocean, it will arrive at the Northern Fleet’s base in Severomorsk.

Earlier, the French General Staff published a radio exchange recording with the Russian frigate “Admiral Grigorovich.”
