The moment of the attack on a checkpoint in Jerusalem was captured on camera by eyewitnesses who were hiding in a bus. This was reported by the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth on Telegram.
“The video shows the moment of the elimination of one of the terrorists who carried out the attack on the checkpoint in the tunnel in Jerusalem,” the message said.
The publication informed that three individuals armed with weapons attacked the checkpoint in a tunnel south of Jerusalem on that day. The attackers were neutralized, but four people, one of whom is in critical condition, were injured by them.
The situation in the Middle East escalated after thousands of Hamas militants infiltrated from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7, when Hamas announced the beginning of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war.

Meanwhile, the Israeli National Security Council decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the Gaza Strip. Humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza only resumed after October 20, and their volume is considered insufficient.
On October 27, Israel announced the “expansion” of the ground operation in Gaza. The exact start date of this operation is unknown, but hundreds of thousands of Palestinians left their homes and moved to shelters and the south of the enclave in anticipation. On November 5, as part of the ground operation, the IDF forces surrounded the city of Gaza and cut off its supplies, while fighting continues in the center of Gaza.
