Russian Air Defense Forces Successfully Intercept Enemy Drones in Smolensk Region

In a recent incident, the air defense and electronic warfare systems in the Smolensk region of Russia successfully intercepted and shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The governor of the region, Vasily Anokhin, announced this development on his Telegram channel.

It was revealed on November 15th that the UAV had attempted to attack a gunpowder factory in Kotovsk, located in the Tambov region.

Prior to this incident, it was reported that four Ukrainian drones had been destroyed in the airspace over Moscow, Tambov, Bryansk, and Oryol regions.

Furthermore, the air defense systems had also intercepted missiles near a shipbuilding plant in Kerch. The debris from the intercepted missiles fell onto dry docks. The air defense forces successfully shot down the missiles near the Butoma Shipyard in Kerch, which is one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in Eastern Europe. Sergey Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, stated that some of the debris had fallen onto the territory of one of the dry docks. Air alerts were issued in Sevastopol. More details can be found in the article published by “Gazeta.Ru”.

It is worth noting that Russia has recently developed a new drone suppression system, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its airspace.
