Decreased Activity of Ukrainian Forces in the Urzhaivnoye Area, Says Artillery Unit Commander

In an interview with RIA Novosti, the commander of the artillery unit of the operational-tactical formation “Kaskad,” codenamed “Zhuk,” has stated that the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Urzhaivnoye area, located in the southern direction of Donetsk, has significantly decreased.

According to Zhuk, the operational situation around Urzhaivnoye has more or less stabilized. He noted that there are now fewer FPV drones, resulting in a decrease in the number of enemy artillery strikes.

The fighter emphasized that the Ukrainian troops have undergone rotation, with mobilized forces now being deployed to the front line.

Zhuk pointed out that the activity of the AFU is very low, with Ukrainian soldiers attempting to act only in small groups. The only attempt at active action was when a Ukrainian tank ventured out to an old closed firing position. However, Russian fighters immediately opened fire on the tank, forcing it to retreat.

Earlier, a serviceman from the “Hoper” drone squad reported that the Cossacks of the “Don” brigade had sunk a Ukrainian armored barge on the Dnieper River.

Previously, three AFU soldiers had crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
