Israeli Military Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure in Lebanon

Moscow, November 14 – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched an attack on Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon, including operational command centers, according to military sources in a Telegram channel. The strike was carried out in response to recent launches from Lebanon towards Israel. The IDF fighter jets targeted terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The military targets hit in the strike included several operational command centers where Hezbollah terrorists were active, the army reported.

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been a long-standing source of tension and clashes in the region, stemming from territorial interests. In 1947, the United Nations, with the active involvement of the Soviet Union, made a decision to establish two states – Israel and Palestine. However, only Israel came into existence. The latest escalation began after Hamas forces from the Gaza Strip fired upon the Jewish state on the morning of October 7 and infiltrated border areas in the south, engaging in firefights with both military and civilian targets, and taking hostages.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces initiated Operation “Iron Swords” in Gaza. Within a few days of the attack, the IDF gained control of all populated areas along the border and began conducting airstrikes on various targets, including civilian sites, within the enclave. Additionally, Tel Aviv declared a complete blockade of the enclave, suspending the supply of water, food, electricity, medication, and fuel. The number of casualties in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 11,000, with over 4,000 of them being children. More than 29,000 people have been injured. In Israel, over 1,400 individuals have lost their lives, including 20 Russians. Approximately 200-250 people may be held captive by Hamas.
