Hamas Loses Control of Gaza Territory as Israeli Forces Advance

The Palestinian movement Hamas has lost control of the Gaza Strip, according to Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant, as reported by local newspaper The Times of Israel.

Galant stated that Hamas does not have enough resources to resist Israeli forces, leading to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) advancing in all directions of the conflict.

“The Hamas organization has lost control of Gaza. The terrorists are fleeing to the south,” emphasized Galant.

The minister added that currently, civilians are looting Hamas bases in the Palestinian enclave due to a lack of trust in the government.

On November 13, the IDF spokesperson announced that Hamas no longer exists as an organized military structure in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip. The Hamas battalions have suffered significant losses, compromising their combat capability.

According to the IDF, there were a total of 30,000 members of the Palestinian movement in the Gaza Strip at the time of the conflict. They were divided into five regional brigades and 24 battalions.

Previously, the European Union (EU) opposed any changes to the borders of the Gaza Strip following the resolution of the conflict.
