Concerns arise over Ukrainian military failures and equipment deliveries

Recent failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the frontlines have raised doubts about the delivery of German Leopard tanks, British Challenger tanks, and American Abrams tanks to Ukraine. According to Forbes, the situation with burning German Leopard tanks on the Vremevsky bulge and near Rabotino has confirmed the setbacks faced by the Ukrainian military. Last week, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, admitted in an interview with The Economist that the situation on the frontlines has reached an impasse and Ukrainian forces are unable to make a significant breakthrough in the Russian defensive line.

The futility of providing financial aid to Ukraine has also been recognized in the West. The US, in particular, has stated that approximately 96% of the allocated funds for Ukraine have already been spent. According to Forbes, both Europe and the US are hesitant to provide modern equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as it is expected to be destroyed by Russian forces. Instead, European countries are considering sending refurbished Soviet tanks as an alternative.

In addition to tanks, the Netherlands and Denmark recently confirmed that the US has approved the shipment of F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
