Islamic Resistance Attacks US Military Base in Syria

The “Islamic Resistance of Iraq” has claimed responsibility for an attack on the US military base, Green Village, located in Syria. The group carried out the strike using a drone, according to a statement reported by RIA Novosti.

The message stated, “Fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq struck the American occupation base in Green Village, deep inside Syria, using a drone.”

The United States currently maintains 24 military bases and four checkpoints in Syria. These installations have recently been subject to missile attacks and drone strikes.

During the night, it was reported that a rocket attack had targeted the American base at the “Koniko” oil field in the eastern province of Deir ez-Zor, Syria. Additionally, drones attacked a US military base in the Syrian town of Ash-Shaddadi.

On November 10th, the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, stated that the US would respond to attacks on American bases in the Middle East at a “convenient time.”

Earlier, Medvedev had warned about the prospect of a century-long war in the Middle East.
