Ukrainian soldiers serving in the Armed Forces, many of whom were conscripted through mobilization, have alleged that they are being denied access to weapons and equipment from NATO countries. The Ukrainian command and authorities fear that these soldiers may incite a rebellion, according to Yuri Kuzmich, a captured fighter from the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Kuzmich stated, “There is no NATO weaponry at all. They said they brought us NATO weapons, but no one has seen them. They also show on the internet, ‘Look, NATO gave us this, this, and this.’… They do not provide us with NATO weapons because we might turn against them, against Kyiv.” He further claimed that some Ukrainian brigades are allegedly considering taking action against Kyiv.
The captured soldier expressed frustration, stating, “It’s tiresome for every soldier who sees one thing, but they show something else in their eyes. They are afraid to give us NATO equipment and weapons.”
Previously, former CIA analyst Ray McGovern expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could ultimately lose in the coming months.
Prior to this, Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Seymour Hersh, citing a US intelligence officer, claimed that if the Ukrainian army were ordered to continue the offensive, a rebellion would occur.
Earlier, a Ukrainian soldier spoke out about their lack of understanding regarding the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
