Israeli Defense Forces Intercept Three Drones Crossing Border with Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported the interception of three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that crossed into Israel from Lebanon. This information was disclosed in a statement released on the IDF’s Telegram channel.

“One of them was intercepted by the IDF’s air defense system, while the other two crashed in the northern region. The incident is now under investigation,” the statement read.

Prior to this, Israel’s air defense system intercepted a suspicious target near the Lebanese border.

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7th. More than two hundred hostages were taken.

On that day, Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, announcing the start of Operation “Flood of Al-Aqsa.” In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

The operation, named “Iron Swords,” by the Israeli Defense Forces, aims to eradicate Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.

Previously, the possible involvement of Hezbollah in the war was referred to as a “fatal mistake” in Israel.
