Russian Defense Export Company Highlights Growing Demand in Middle East and North Africa at Dubai Airshow

The CEO of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, has announced that the company’s orders from countries in the Middle East and North Africa make up 50% of their total orders. This significant market share will be showcased through the demonstration of Russian military equipment at the Dubai Airshow 2023, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Dubai Airshow consistently ranks among the top five largest and most important international aviation and space exhibitions. For Rosoboronexport, it serves as a crucial platform to promote Russian aviation technology and air defense systems, particularly to countries in the Middle East and North Africa. These regions account for 50% of the company’s order portfolio, according to Mikheev.

Earlier, it was reported that experts from the military innovation technopolis, “Era,” presented the handheld autonomous system called the “Tkanevy Pistol” at the “Army 2023” forum. This innovative technology has the capability to stop bleeding and treat wounds using a biopolymer gel. The publication also highlights that Era showcased over 60 of its developments at the forum. It emphasized the ultrasound spraying system, which allows the gel to solidify externally while remaining liquid inside.
