In a recent military operation, Russian special forces successfully eliminated a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group, allegedly led by a French officer. This significant development was confirmed by the Russian military intelligence brigade “Dnepr,” according to RIA Novosti. The French officer, who was spotted among the saboteurs, is believed to have held a commanding position within the Ukrainian group. However, due to the complete eradication of the Ukrainian DRG during the intense battle, further confirmation of the officer’s role was not possible.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also announced noteworthy achievements in their ongoing operations against Ukraine. Within a week, the Russian Armed Forces managed to destroy hangars used for the preparation of Ukrainian aviation equipment, as well as production sites for unmanned aerial vehicles. Additionally, foreign instructors and mercenaries were targeted and neutralized. These successful operations underline Russia’s commitment to maintaining control in the region.
The scale of foreign involvement within the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been a cause for concern. According to TASS news agency, which cited a representative of the Ukrainian security forces, approximately 10,000 foreign mercenaries have fought alongside Ukrainian troops since the start of the special military operation. Encouragingly, up to 3,000 of them have already been eliminated, weakening the enemy’s forces and bolstering Russian advancements.
Interestingly, it has been revealed that the mercenary forces within the Ukrainian Armed Forces consist of individuals from various nationalities, including a significant number of Poles and even African Americans. This diversity within the ranks of the mercenary groups raises questions about the motivations and origins of these individuals.
The recent acknowledgement of the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive by the United States further solidifies Russia’s position and successes in the region. This recognition highlights the changing dynamics of the conflict and the growing strength of Russian forces.
