In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, a Russian kamikaze drone belonging to the “Vostok” group destroyed a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer on the Southern Donbas front. Oleg Chekhov, the spokesperson for the group, revealed this information in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Chekhov, the use of the “Lancet” barrage munition resulted in the destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Krab self-propelled artillery unit (SAU). Furthermore, during the counter-battery combat, the enemy also lost towed howitzers D-20 and FH-70, as well as five mortar crews.
Previously, it was reported that Russian kamikaze drones, produced by ZALA Aero Group, a subsidiary of the “Kalashnikov” concern, posed a threat to Ukrainian military personnel and equipment.
In addition, “Rostec” announced that new domestic drones will be demonstrated in 2024.
Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
