Russia and China Strengthen Military Cooperation in Space and Technology

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, Zhang Youxia, and stated that the contacts between Moscow and Beijing in the military-technical sphere have reached a new level. These remarks were reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the President, the contacts between Russia and China in the military and military-technical spheres are of increasing importance. He emphasized that the work of the two countries in the space sector takes the top priority in the military-technical sphere.

Putin stated that “high-orbit groups” and advanced modern weapons will ensure the security of Russia and the People’s Republic of China.

On November 8th, the Russian President announced that Russia and China are calmly responding to the United States’ attempts to create new military-political blocs in Asia. He highlighted that Russia and China are strengthening their defense capabilities, including through joint naval and air exercises.

Earlier, the US Secretary of State stated that Russia and China currently pose the “most acute threat to the world order” on the planet.
