Indictment Reveals Arrest of Three Individuals in High-End Brothel Network Case

Authorities have made a significant arrest in connection with a high-end brothel network that allegedly operated since 2020. The indictment states that three individuals, Han Lee, James Lee, and Junmyung Lee, were arrested for organizing an interstate prostitution network that catered to elected officials and military officers. The network operated multiple brothels in Cambridge and Watertown, Mass., as well as in Fairfax and Tysons, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C.

According to federal prosecutors, the defendants advertised their services on two websites, which provided detailed information about the women available for appointments. The websites listed each woman’s height, weight, and bust size, accompanied by nude and semi-nude photographs. To ensure the safety of their operation, potential clients were required to complete a verification process, providing their names, email addresses, phone numbers, and employer information.

The investigation revealed that the network offered a range of services, with prices ranging from $350 to over $600 per hour. The clientele included individuals from various professions, such as politicians, pharmaceutical executives, doctors, military officers, government contractors with security clearances, professors, lawyers, business executives, technology company executives, scientists, accountants, retail employees, and students. The names of the clients have not been disclosed as the investigation is ongoing.

One of the websites used in the operation posed as an advertisement platform for nude models, but prosecutors believe it was a front for prostitution. The website required first-time photographers to undergo a verification process that involved submitting a selfie or driver’s license photo, as well as credit card information. Once verified, customers arranged appointments and engaged in paid sexual activities at upscale apartments.

To conceal the profits generated by the network, the defendants allegedly deposited hundreds of thousands of dollars into their personal bank accounts and engaged in peer-to-peer transfers. They also used money orders below reporting thresholds to pay for rent and utilities at the brothel locations. The indictment states that these transactions amounted to significant sums, with some locations having expenses as high as $3,664.

If convicted, Han Lee, James Lee, and Junmyung Lee could face up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $250,000.

In conclusion, the arrest of these individuals involved in the operation of a high-end brothel network has shed light on a disturbing criminal enterprise. The investigation has revealed the involvement of individuals from various professions, raising concerns about the extent of the network’s reach and influence. As the case unfolds, authorities will continue to gather evidence and identify the clients involved in this illicit activity.
