Hamas Loses Control in Northern Gaza as Thousands Flee to Safer South

The spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Brigadier General Daniel Haggari, has announced that the Hamas movement has lost control in the northern sector of Gaza, according to RIA Novosti.

Haggari stated that approximately 50,000 residents of Gaza have moved from the northern enclave to the southern region. This mass exodus is due to their realization that Hamas no longer maintains control in the north, and that the south provides a safer area where medicine, food, and water are being supplied.

On November 7th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the IDF is operating deep within the besieged Gaza Strip, intensifying pressure on the Hamas radicals with each passing hour.

The situation in the Middle East has worsened following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7th. Over two hundred hostages were taken in the process.

On that day, Hamas launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that the country is in a state of war.

The IDF operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with the objective of destroying Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.

Earlier in Russia, a possible timeframe for the conclusion of the war between Israel and Hamas was mentioned.
