US Expresses Confidence in Ukraine’s Military Operations Despite Challenges

The United States has expressed its unwavering confidence in Ukraine’s ability to achieve success in its military operations, according to John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council. During a briefing, Kirby stated that Ukrainians have been underestimated since the beginning of the conflict and emphasized that the US has no doubt they will continue to succeed.

Kirby also highlighted that the assessment of whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces have reached a deadlock on the frontlines can only be determined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and military commanders.

Previously, on November 2, Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny acknowledged that the Ukrainian conflict has reached a deadlock. He admitted that Ukrainian forces are unable to break through the Russian Armed Forces’ defensive line and now require a breakthrough comparable in significance to the invention of gunpowder.

The New York Times later reported that Zaluzhny’s statements about the deadlock in the conflict could hamper further support from Washington for Kiev.

Earlier, the US had recognized the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
