Russian Air Defense Forces Foil Ukrainian Drone Attack on Crimea

Moscow, November 7 – Russian air defense units successfully repelled another attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU) on Crimea, using 17 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the aircraft type, as reported by the Ministry of Defense. “With the use of air defense systems, nine Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed and eight were intercepted over the Black Sea and the territory of the Republic of Crimea,” the release stated. According to the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, the wreckage of the shot-down drones fell on the roof of a private house in Andreyevka, as well as in the yard of a house in Orlovka, where a man was injured. No significant damage to buildings and infrastructure in Sevastopol was recorded, the governor added. The VSU constantly attempts to attack various targets in Crimea, primarily Sevastopol, which is the main base of the Black Sea Fleet. The air defense systems successfully neutralize the majority of UAVs. The peninsula remains under a high (yellow) level of terrorist threat indefinitely.
