In a recent development in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that their air defense systems intercepted two HIMARS rockets and successfully neutralized 23 Ukrainian drones. The interceptions took place in the regions of Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhia.
According to the Ministry of Defense, this brings the total number of military aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) destroyed by Russian forces since the start of the operation to 525, 254, and 8669, respectively.
In addition to this, Russian forces successfully repelled two attacks by Ukrainian troops on the Donetsk front in the past 24 hours.
Furthermore, it was reported that Russian fighters had recently destroyed a Ukrainian warehouse of air-to-surface missiles at the Dnipro airfield in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that their aviation, drones, missile forces, and artillery have inflicted significant damage on Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) personnel and military equipment in 133 areas.
Earlier, a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) pointed out the emergence of panic among the UAF troops.
