Israeli Air Force Destroys Fishing Boats in Gaza

The Israeli Air Force has reportedly destroyed several fishing boats in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. This information was shared by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on their social media platform, X.

According to the statement released by the Palestinian authority, the fishing boats caught fire on the shores of Rafah after becoming targets of the occupiers’ airstrikes.

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7. More than two hundred hostages were taken during the incursion.

On that day, Hamas launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with the destruction of Hamas being one of its primary objectives. The Israeli Air Force has carried out strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.

On October 13, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in preparation for a ground operation.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had vowed to destroy Hamas.
