Russian Colonel Returns to Frontline After Being Wounded in Ukraine

Russian Colonel Rustam Saifullin, a hero of Russia who was wounded twice during a special military operation in Ukraine, has returned to the frontline. This news was reported by RIA Novosti.

The military officer stated that he does not have the right to “rest at home” and must pass on his experience to young commanders.

Upon his arrival to his soldiers, Saifullin noted that they work together seamlessly, successfully accomplishing all tasks assigned to the regiment.

The Colonel also emphasized that the regiment is like a combat family to him, and he stands by their side “with all his might”.

Rustam Saifullin commanded the 40th Engineer-Sapper Regiment of the 41st Combined Arms Army. He sustained one of his injuries during an operation to cross the Severnaya Donets River. For his bravery and heroism, he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia.

After recovering, the Colonel was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School.

In September, Saifullin stated that NATO countries are accustomed to fighting against ill-prepared armies, which makes their methods ineffective against the Armed Forces of Russia.

Previously, the Prosecutor General’s Office linked a series of arson attacks on military enlistment offices to Russia’s successes in the Eastern Ukraine.
