Zaporizhia Governor, Yevhen Balitsky, proudly announced that Russian Armed Forces have successfully destroyed more than five Leopard tanks in the past 10 days. This significant development was reported by RIA Novosti.
“I am proud to say that even on our front, over five units of Leopard tanks have been eliminated in the past 10 days,” the official revealed.
The specific Leopard tanks targeted during the operation were not specified. It has been reported that the majority of these tanks were destroyed using precision-guided missiles and kamikaze drones.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have successfully destroyed 13,000 tanks and other combat armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as 15,000 units of special military vehicles. Additionally, 1,182 Ukrainian combat vehicles of multiple rocket launcher systems and nearly 7,000 field artillery guns and mortars have been eliminated.
Forbes previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost a quarter of all the Leopard 2 tanks supplied to them in just two weeks.
Earlier, a retired Czech army general pointed out the mistakes made by Ukraine during their counter-offensive.
