The municipality of Kiryat Shmona has reported that the city was subjected to two rocket attacks on Sunday evening, with 7 out of 13 projectiles hitting areas within the city. The Times of Israel has provided details on the incidents, stating that there were no reported casualties.

During the first barrage at 19:12 local time (20:12 Moscow time), five rockets landed in open areas, one was intercepted, and another hit a car within the city.

The second attack on the city occurred at 21:25 (22:25 Moscow time). Three rockets hit houses in the city, while three others landed within the city, according to municipal authorities.

“A serious damage was inflicted on the structures,” stated a representative of the city on the municipality’s Facebook page (Note: The owner of Meta company, Facebook’s parent company, has been recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

On October 7, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and taking over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation was named “Iron Swords,” with the aim of destroying Hamas. The Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli National Security Council decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the sector. On October 13, Israel informed the UN that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in Gaza.

Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu pledged to destroy Hamas.
