Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he will try to explain to former US President Donald Trump that the conflict in Ukraine cannot be resolved within 24 hours. According to TASS, Zelensky extended an invitation to Trump to visit Ukraine, saying that it would take him no more than 24 minutes to explain to the former president that he cannot bring peace to Ukraine.
Zelensky expressed uncertainty about whether Trump would reduce support for Ukraine if he were to win the US presidential election. This statement comes after Zelensky announced that Ukrainian military officials are considering plans to achieve success in the conflict with Russia.
Retired Major General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Sergey Krivonos, commented on an article by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, which was addressed to the US authorities amid President Zelensky’s alleged inaction. Krivonos stated during a television interview that if the President’s office in Ukraine is not paying attention, then at least the White House should.
Earlier, the US and Ukraine initiated negotiations on security guarantees for Kyiv.
