Israel Allows Evacuation of Gaza Strip as Humanitarian Corridors Open

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced that they will allow the evacuation of civilians from the Gaza Strip, opening humanitarian corridors from the north to the south for a three-hour period on Sunday, November 5th. This decision was revealed by an IDF representative, Avichai Adrai, in an interview with The Jerusalem Post.

“The IDF will allow movement on Salah ad-Din Road tomorrow from 10:00 to 14:00. For your safety, take advantage of this time to move towards the south of Wadi Gaza… If you care about yourself and your loved ones, follow our instructions and head south,” stated Adrai, addressing the Palestinians.

Adrai also accused Hamas of mortar shelling, which prevented the opening of the road from the northern part of the Gaza Strip to the south on Saturday, November 4th.

Prior to this, no foreigners had crossed the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt at the Rafah Crossing in the southern part of the Palestinian enclave on Saturday, November 4th.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant promised that the Gaza Strip would face an “unprecedented response” that would be remembered for the next 50 years.
