More than 50 people have become victims of an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) airstrike on the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip. This information was reported by the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.
“51 civilians were killed and dozens injured as a result of the occupier’s military airstrike on a house in the Al-Maghazi camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening,” the agency reported.
Part of the territory in the Gaza Strip is occupied by refugee camps, where Palestinians who fled from areas controlled by Israel reside.
Prior to this, the military wing of the Palestinian radical movement Hamas reported that 60 captured Israelis had died as a result of Israeli army strikes on the Gaza Strip.
The movement’s message also indicated that the chances of rescuing any potential survivors were minimal due to ongoing shelling and bombing by Israel. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), there are currently up to 240 captured Israeli and foreign citizens being held hostage in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu stated Israel’s goals in the war with Hamas.
