Russian President Vladimir Putin has highlighted the significance of providing moral support to Russian servicemen involved in the military operation in Ukraine. During a meeting with participants of a flower-laying ceremony at the Minin and Pozharsky Monument in Red Square, Putin responded to a young member of the Youth Army who mentioned that the movement’s members write and send letters to Russian military personnel.
“I understand that this is a crucial matter – providing moral support to individuals who risk their lives daily, or perhaps even hourly. This is incredibly important!” stated Putin in response.
On November 2, Vitaly Milonov, a member of the State Duma, announced that he had submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister to establish a new holiday in Russia – the Day of the Participant in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine.
Earlier, Putin jokingly mentioned the “all-powerful government of Russia.”
