Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that units of the “Western” group of forces have successfully repelled five attacks by the 54th Motorized Infantry and 57th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) along the Kupyansk direction. The attacks took place in the area of Synkivka and north of Tymkivka in the Kharkiv Oblast.
According to the report, the UAF suffered losses of up to 210 servicemen, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, and three vehicles.
It is also stated that an M777 artillery system and two self-propelled artillery installations, known as “Gvozdika,” were destroyed.
Prior to this, it was reported that Russian forces had destroyed artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a mortar unit along the Kupyansk direction. The Ukrainian army lost up to 125 soldiers in the operation. In addition, airstrikes were conducted on temporary deployment points of the 32nd Mechanized Brigade and the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade. It was previously announced that Russian military forces had occupied more advantageous positions along the Kupyansk direction.
Earlier, Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled four attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
