Two police officers in Cape Coral, Florida, are being hailed as heroes after they rescued a man who was trapped under a car. The incident occurred on Monday evening when the man’s car jack failed, causing the vehicle to fall on top of him. The man, identified as Carlos Romero, was working on replacing the transmission with his father-in-law when the jack failed. Despite his efforts to lift the car on his own, Romero was unable to free himself. In the video, Romero can be heard expressing relief as his father-in-law is pulled out from under the car, stating that he has a pulse.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to a hospital. Fortunately, he is now back at home, although he suffered rib fractures as a result of the incident.
