Russian and Chinese Pilots Engage in Dangerous Interactions with US Aircraft, Says US Air Force General

US Air Force General Mark Kelly has expressed his opinion that Russian and Chinese pilots engage in “interactions” with American aircraft in various tense regions as part of their training. This information was reported by Business Insider.

According to the publication, several “dangerous” situations have been recorded in the past year, including an incident in March when a Russian Su-27 fighter intercepted an American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone, which subsequently crashed into the Black Sea. American military officials also consider the maneuvers of Russian pilots in Syria and interceptions of American aircraft by the Chinese to be dangerous.

General Kelly stated that one of the reasons for such interactions is Russia and China’s desire to train against the best in the world, acknowledging their competitiveness in this field.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has previously pointed out violations of agreements by the US Air Force in Syria. For example, in July, American fighters violated Syrian airspace in the Al-Tanf area, through which international air routes pass, on five occasions.

Earlier, a retired Czech army general criticized Ukraine’s mistakes during its counteroffensive.
