Ukraine Loses a Quarter of Supplied Leopard 2 Tanks, Russian Drones Prove Effective

In recent weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered significant losses with a quarter of their supplied Leopard 2 tanks being destroyed. This revelation comes from David Axe, a contributor to Forbes magazine.

Axe highlights the emergence of footage showing one of the latest modifications of the Leopard 2 tank, the 2A6, being taken out.

“This loss adds to the unfortunate series of losses of Leopard 2 tanks by Ukraine. In just over a week, the Kiev army has written off at least a dozen, possibly even 13 of their Leopard 2A4, Leopard 2A6, and Strv 122 tanks… Add to that the six Leopard 2 tanks that were lost by the Ukrainians last week, and it amounts to a quarter of the best tanks of German production,” writes Axe.

He further notes that the Russian armed forces have become much more effective in destroying Ukrainian tanks using kamikaze drones.

Prior to this, Vladyslav Shevchuk, the commander of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stated that the army is running out of soldiers and there is a need to strengthen mobilization.

Earlier, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed confusion about the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
