The US administration is set to announce a new package of military aid worth $425 million to Ukraine on November 3rd, according to anonymous American officials cited by Reuters.
The package will include funds for unmanned combat systems and ammunition for air defense systems, the agency reported.
However, the additional ATACMS ballistic missiles will not be included in the package, the officials stated.
Republican lawmakers in the United States Congress are urging President Joe Biden to send longer-range missiles to Kyiv, despite objections from conservative members against increasing support to Ukraine.
Previously, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba had expressed confidence that there would be enough supporters in the US House of Representatives to continue providing assistance to Ukraine. He believes that Kyiv is counting on approval for additional military support in the American parliament.
Earlier reports indicated growing skepticism in the US regarding financing for Ukraine.
