Israel Achieves Success in Gaza Operation, Prime Minister Netanyahu Declares

Israeli forces are making significant progress in their operation in the Gaza Strip, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a post on his social media account, he stated that the military has already overcome the outskirts of the city of Gaza, the largest in the Palestinian enclave. The Prime Minister described the achievements of the Israeli Army as impressive.

“We will not be stopped,” Netanyahu concluded.

Previously, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Aviv Kochavi, stated that Israeli troops had entered Gaza and had begun to surround it from various sides.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak stated that international support for Israel would quickly diminish, and the legitimacy of the military operation in Gaza would be questioned.

According to Barak, the operation in Gaza is being carried out with several constraints in mind, including the presence of hostages held by Hamas, the risk of the conflict spreading to Hezbollah in Lebanon, and adherence to international law, “to which we are committed.” In addition, the former Prime Minister criticized current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that in “any normal country,” he would have resigned on the morning of October 8.

According to updated information, on October 7, over three thousand Hamas militants infiltrated Israel. Additionally, the country was subjected to a massive rocket attack, resulting in over two hundred hostages being taken. In response, the Israel Defense Forces announced the start of Operation “Iron Swords,” with one of its goals being the complete destruction of the Hamas movement.

Earlier, it was reported that Egypt rejected the proposal for international and Israeli management of Gaza.
