Amnesty International Accuses Israel of Using Phosphorus Munitions in Gaza and Lebanon

Amnesty International, a human rights organization, has made allegations that Israel has been using phosphorus munitions in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. This revelation has been reported by Sky News.

According to Donatella Rovera, Senior Crisis Advisor at Amnesty International, they have reviewed video footage showing artillery shells containing white phosphorus exploding over Gaza and Lebanon. Rovera stated that they have also spoken to doctors who have treated the injured in southern Lebanon and have concluded that this type of munition has been used.

“The evidence is undeniable,” she emphasized.

Rovera further added that both Israel and Hamas are disregarding international law.

Prior to this, former head of the British Army General Staff, Lord Richard Dannatt, stated that the Israel Defense Forces are facing one of the most challenging military operations in the history of warfare in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that sustained combat operations are the only way for Israel to achieve success.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had announced the continuation of their offensive in the Gaza Strip.
